God is on the move. Last Sunday, we opened the altar for people to come and get prayer during our worship. The altar area was filled with people in both services, and something special happened. As people went up, they were overcome with emotion and began to cry. Several altar workers reported this after the services, with people saying, “I don’t know why I am crying.” This shows us that God was moving on people’s hearts, and as they responded, the Holy Spirit filled them with His presence, and the response was tears.
There is no need to analyze it. We just need to recognize that God was a work, and it was a sweet time. There is nothing we did to manipulate this. To be honest, with it being a holiday weekend and thinner crowds than normal, I wasn’t expecting much of a response. God surprised me and did something special. Our people needed it, and He responded. Will it happen again in the future? I hope so, but that is up to God. We just need to keep seeking His Face and let the Spirit do the work.
Sometimes God works in an instant and brings revival. Other times He works a little at a time over a long period. That is why we have been talking about a breakthrough in 2026 and using the seed-and-soil metaphor. We have been planting and watering for a couple of years, and now we are starting to see the fruit. We need to keep our hand to the plow. Satan isn’t going to sit idly by and let this happen. He will distract people in an attempt to thwart the work of the Holy Spirit. We need to remain faithful and push through anything that tries to take us away from God and the work at this church. The coming days are going to be exciting.
